Lifestyle:
One an average
Egyptian makes is a sarcastic note concerning his financial status
he would say; "I do not own a villa in Zamalek to afford so
and so." clearly stating the significance of the neighborhood and
the financial welfare of its residential crowd. Zamalek is also known
for its large masses of foreign populations and ambassadors that favored
this unique island for residential and business purposes.
Although the fact that this huge number of foreign ambassadors and
their presence in the area resembles feelings of discomfort to the
Zamalek residents due to their polluting guards and the neighborhood's
strong law application especially in traffic issues like parking,
honking and one way streets.
Another social aspect about Zamalek is the sporting clubs especially
Gezira sporting club where almost all of Zamalek's citizenry
gather just for the sake of it or to play their favorite sports (most
common are tennis and golf) or take their kids for some quality time.
Zamalek also stands out as one of Cairo's very alive areas; by day
shopping in Zamalek could be nice and spending time in one of Zamalek's
luxurious hotels would be fantastic.
Staying in these hotels till nighttime is also worth it as they and
actually the whole of Zamalek offers great night entertainment.
Crime rate: almost unmentionable
a very low crime rate accentuating the neighborhood's most common
description; classy.
Population: Zamalek's population in terms of person
per square kilometer is increasing rapidly, that is a consequence
of the deficiency of construction land in the island and the substitution
of normal horizontal growth with vertical high rises.
Nightlife:
a night out in Zamalek would be remarkable, the island offers
a wide variety of places to go and things to do.
Anything from the average coffee shop going through bars, pubs and
restaurants up to the most exotic clubs in the country can be found
in Zamalek and with numbers.
