Heliopolis
is located on the northeast tip of the great city of Cairo, or better
said Heliopolis occupies the north east of Cairo.
It is surrounded by the neighborhoods of "Nasr City" to the south and
the east, "El Nozha" and "Ain Shams" to the north and "Hadayek El Koba"
and "El Zaitoun" to the west.
All these neighborhoods are commonly associated with Heliopolis but
formally they are bordered as previously mentioned. Heliopolis itself
has many variable parts too, the west side is known for its massive
stretches of land occupied by services and facilities, some examples
are the stadium compound containing several indoor and outdoor stadiums
as well as pools courts and so on.
The
"Heliopolis sporting club" can also be found to the west and
the "merryland" (an entertainment and recreational area) as well. To
the North we can find the streets of "El Hegaz" and "Abu Bakr
El Seddik" and their attachments standing out as characteristics
of the area.
The Eastern part of Heliopolis contains the entrance of the Cairo-Suez
road and the area of "Almaza". The south features the bonding
of Heliopolis with Nasr City achieved by the street and square of "Marghani"
and their continuous traffic.
